I’m not so sure about the government shutdown actually being over.
TSA is the worst right now. Half the lines are closed and nobody explains why.
My SNAP still isn’t back?? Everyone keeps saying it’s fine but nothing’s changed.
If the shutdown was really “resolved,” why are so many services still messed up?
Feels like they’re hiding how bad things actually are. No one in charge is being straight with us.

Sooo the shutdown is “over” but my friend at TSA says half their team is still furloughed. Make that make sense.
It feels like they just changed the label from “shutdown” to “transition period” and hoped we wouldn’t notice nothing actually works.
My SNAP is still delayed, phone line still “experiencing higher than normal call volume.” But sure, everything is totally fine now.
It’s like the shutdown went underground. Same chaos, just less honest branding.
Every press release is like: “We’re committed to restoring normal operations.” Cool. When? In 2043?
I honestly think they ended it on paper just so the headlines would calm down while the real mess stayed exactly the same.
The wildest part is how coordinated the “everything’s fine” talking points sound. Like they all got the same script.
Regular people: “We can’t get services.” Government: “We hear you.” Also government: *changes absolutely nothing*.
Someone I know in a federal office literally said, “We’re technically open, but we’re still operating like we’re shut down.”
It’s giving “soft shutdown” energy. Like a ghost shutdown hovering over everything.
At this point I trust the glitchy websites and broken phone lines more than the official statements. At least the glitches are honest.
They told us it was over. The system is telling us it’s not. I know which one I believe.
